My work is also related to animals, I work for an organization that tries to preserve the local breed of cows - the Latvian Blue. I got into the world of dogs by accident - 15 years ago, when I bought my first Pyrenean Mountain Dog. This was followed by Landseer, who unfortunately is sick, and now two Border Collie boys, with whom I both dance and compete in ROB.

Vladislava Akimova
Teamleader
My name is Vladislava Akimova, from Riga, the capital of Latvia. I have been involved in dog sports since 1987. At first, my partners in dog sports were German Shepherds, Schnauzers, Sheltie, now it's Border Collies and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. My hobby became my job, since 2008, when I became a dog trainer. I continue to be an active handler, trainer and FCI judge in the disciplines of Obedience, Rally Obedience and Dog Dancing.
Together with my colleague, we started rally obedience in Latvia in 2014. I competed with my dogs, trained handlers and judged ROB competitions. So, my experience in Rally Obedience is quite extensive, and I used all my knowledge to help prepare the Latvian ROB team.
The Latvian ROB team is not quite ordinary - all handlers also perform in dog dancing – freestyle and/or heelwork to music, and in the same line-up our team participated in the FCI World Championship in Dog Dancing-2025.
